It is used topically on the skin to treat infections of the skin or nails caused by fungi, including yeasts, and some types of bacteria such as athlete's foot, tinea, impetigo and fungal diaper rash.
Daktarin cream works by destroying the fungi that are causing the infection and some bacteria that may also be present.
