Evra Transdermal Patch

This patch contains combination hormone medication and is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones: a progestin (norelgestromin) and an estrogen (ethinyl estradiol). It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle.

203 mcg norelgestromin , 34 mcg ethinylestradiol.

Hormonal contraceptives work by over-riding the normal menstrual cycle. In a woman’s normal cycle the hormone levels change throughout the month and the hormones cause an egg to be released from the Ovaries and prepare the womb lining for the possible pregnancy.
