Zycort Injection 100 mg

Zycort Injection is a prescription corticosteroid containing hydrocortisone. It reduces inflammation and immune responses and may replace natural cortisol in adrenal insufficiency. It is used when rapid treatment or oral therapy is unsuitable, including certain severe allergic and inflammatory conditions.
Active Ingredient
Each vial contains hydrocortisone sodium succinate equivalent to hydrocortisone 100 mg.
How to Use
For intramuscular or intravenous use only. It must be prepared and administered by a qualified healthcare professional. The dose and treatment duration depend on the condition and the patient’s response. It must not be self-injected or administered epidurally.
Possible Side Effects
Increased blood sugar
Fluid retention or swelling
Increased blood pressure
Mood or sleep changes
Nausea or stomach discomfort
Increased risk of infection
Injection-site reactions
Seek urgent help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, severe infection, vision changes or black or bloody stools.
Important Tips
Tell the doctor about infections, diabetes, hypertension or stomach ulcers.
Avoid vaccines unless approved by the treating doctor.
Blood sugar may require closer monitoring.
Prolonged corticosteroid treatment should not be stopped suddenly.
Do not use with systemic fungal infections or a known allergy to the ingredients.
