Luganor contains Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) provided as a sterile lyophilized powder for solution. This medicine helps manage gastric acid by reducing its secretion regardless of the type of stimulation. It offers an alternative route of administration for patients who are unable to take oral forms. It is used in clinical settings to help address acid-related conditions such as ulcers and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, supporting a balanced gastric environment.

Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate (equivalent to 40 mg Pantoprazole)
Disodium Edetate
Sodium Hydroxide
How to Use:
This medicine must be administered by a healthcare professional through intravenous injection or infusion. The usual dose is one vial (40 mg) per day for ulcers and reflux. For long-term management of hypersecretory conditions, the starting dose is 80 mg daily. After adding 10 mL of physiological sodium chloride to the vial, the solution should be used immediately.
Potential Side Effects:
Side effects are generally transient and reversible. Common effects may include:
Digestive: Upper abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, or flatulence.
General: Headache.
Other: Injection site inflammation or dizziness.
Warning:
Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or its ingredients. It should not be taken with atazanavir. Interruption of breastfeeding is recommended if treatment is needed. Consult your doctor if you have liver cirrhosis, as a lower dose may be required. Store below 25°C and protect from light.
