Forteo Col. Inj. contains 250mcg/mL of the medication and comes in a 2.4mL vial. It is used for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men at high risk of fracture, as well as for patients with osteoporosis associated with sustained systemic glucocorticoid therapy. Forteo is a synthetic form of parathyroid hormone and works by stimulating bone formation, increasing bone mass, and reducing the risk of fractures.
