Gliptacin Met 50 mg / 1000 mg Tablets 60 S

Gliptacin Met contains 50 mg vildagliptin and 1000 mg metformin. This prescription medicine is used with diet and exercise to improve blood-sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes when combination treatment is appropriate.
How It Works
Vildagliptin blocks the DPP-4 enzyme, allowing incretin hormones to remain active longer. This increases insulin release when blood sugar is high and reduces excess glucagon. Metformin decreases glucose production by the liver and reduces glucose absorption from the digestive system.
How to Use
The recommended schedule is commonly one tablet in the morning and one in the evening. Take it with or immediately after food to reduce stomach discomfort. Always follow the prescribed dose. If a dose is missed, do not take two tablets together.
Common Side Effects
The most common effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and reduced appetite. Headache, dizziness or low blood sugar may also occur, particularly when used with insulin or a sulfonylurea.
Important Tips
Take doses consistently with food.
Continue the recommended diet and exercise plan.
Attend regular kidney and liver-function tests.
Avoid excessive alcohol.
Tell your doctor before surgery or scans involving contrast dye.
Seek urgent help for severe persistent abdominal pain, facial swelling, breathing difficulty, yellow skin, dark urine, severe weakness or unusually rapid breathing.
