MESPORIN 1000mg Powder for Solution for I.V. Injection contains Ceftriaxone, a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections.
Uses of Mesporin:

Treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults

Treatment of disseminated Lyme disease (early and late stages) in adults and children, including neonates from 15 days of age

Preoperative prophylaxis of surgical site infections

Management of neutropenic patients with fever suspected to be due to a bacterial infection

Treatment of bacteraemia associated with any of the above infections

Mesporin should be co-administered with other antibacterial agents when the causative bacteria may not fall within its spectrum.
